About me: Currently based in Bimini, The Bahamas and working as Media Manager of the Bimini Biological Field Station Foundation. At this world famous facility we conduct groundbreaking shark science and train the next generation of elasmobranch scientists.
My story begins in Wales, studying film and media for 5 years then moving on to an apprenticeship with BBC Wales. Here I learnt editing and post production workflows and was then employed on various shows, all the while exploring the wild Welsh underwater world in my spare time. From here it was clear that pursuing a career of underwater filmmaking would be the goal.
Following this I underwent intense underwater videography training in Thailand with the acclaimed underwater production and training company Oceans Below, and thereafter began working as an underwater camera operator and editor, and progressively as a videography instructor for several years. I remain involved with the company and their projects whose clients include The BBC, PADI, BSAC, Fantasea Line Housings and many more. Following this I was employed as a media diver in Indonesia, living aboard a dive vessel that navigated the thrilling waters of Komodo and Raja Ampat seasonally.
Having spent several years living in Southeast Asia, I made the move to Australia and begin working on the Ningaloo reef as a professional underwater photographer. I enjoyed two seasons here working with whale sharks, manta rays, humpback whales and more before moving to the Great Barrier Reef and being an activities guide and Underwater photographer/videographer at Lizard Island. I have thus built an extensive image library and am available for stock requests or promotional/personal work. Additionally I have worked with Humpback whales in Tonga, been lucky enough to visit New Zealand and Fiji and experience their unique underwater species and habitats. Since then I have worked towards building a career in science communication, working as a content creator and manager for TRACC, a marine conservation centre in Borneo that focuses on reef restoration and I am now based at the world famous Bimini Biological field station in The Bahamas working with sharks. I love a challenge, am always up for hearing about potential projects or collaborations and I adore bringing an artistic aspect to any underwater image I produce - be it photography or video - to create something truly special. The Ocean is my obsession and portraying it is my passion. I hope you've enjoyed watching what I've captured so far.
